This is just a collection of cool things that I'm gonna incrementally add things to.

WEBSITE RESOURCES

• Free Tiling Backgrounds, which is where I got all of the backgrounds I used for this site.
• HTML Dog, the coding resource I used for the majority of this site!

ART RESOURCES

• An absolutely massive document full of art and animation resourcces. Everything is organized by category, has links, and says whether the resource is free or not and gives a brief overview of what it is. Seriously this one is a life saver, I'm sure even some of the stuff I share later in this category I found here initially and forgot. If you don't check anything else here out check this one out! • Draw A Box, a pretty rigorous drawing course focusing on developing technical skill. (NOTE i've not done this one personally so I can't vouch for it myself!)
• Proko's Anatomy Course (youtube). An excellent free and in depth anatomy course!
• Figure Drawing Fundamentals by Richard Smitehman. Another excellent free youtube course.
• Juliedillon's Mini Painting Tutorial A favorite painting tutorial of mine.
• Adorakastock This particular page of the website gives you a random pose on a time limit to draw for practice, but the rest of her site is also excellent for finding references too.
• Perspective Tips (by Thomas Romain, reposted to Tumblr) Right what it says on the tin!
• Avoid Getting Scammed (twitter thread by commodorebeeps) A very informative thread with examples! I have a friend who was targeted by a very similar scam, it's def worth looking over even if you don't do comms often.
• Historical Fashion Reference and Resources by Claire Hummel / @shoomlah on twitter! Absolutely huge document on resources from all over the world.

FUN STUFF

• Trigun Ultimate Overhaul This is the best way to read Trigun/Trigun Maximum! This is a very good fan retranslation project which has also provided their own high quality scans. The official Darkhorse english translation leaves much to be desired, and is out of print.You can download all of the chapters in a variety of file formats, or read it on their site. They're also working on tweaking the translation and releasing an improved version in the future!
• Cloudhiker a fun tool for discovering weird little websites.
• Folktales An archive of folktales and myths!
• The Definitive Way to Play Sonic Adventure by BlazeHedgehog This is the resource I used to mod SA1 and play it recently. The video has some nice background on how the games work, reasons for each mod included, and a nice tutorial on how to do it.
• The Definitive Way to Play Sonic Adventure 2 by BlazeHedgehog Same as above, but for SA2! This person has also done videos similar to this for a couple other Sonic games, but I've not tried them out.
• Pattern for Shrimp Ornament by @artofjyang on twitter! Technically this could have gone into the art resources, but the pattern is so simple and materials so cheap (just, felt, thread, needle, and pipecleaners at minimum, maybe beads if you're feeling it) that it's pretty accessible. I made lots of these this past christmas season and I love them. Takes maybe an hour to make if you also sew on some beads-- perfect activity for sitting down to play a TTRPG or watch a movie.
